Handi Bus
The Handi Bus is a “dial-a-ride” type of public transportation that services the citizens of Broken Bow. In order to ride the bus you just call City Hall and make a request. Many people use this bus for rides to a doctor’s office or to make other appointments and run errands.
Riders are more than welcome to make contributions to help with costs.
The Handi Bus runs Monday – Friday from 8:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. & 1:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m., with the last pickup at 4:30 p.m.

The City requests that riders schedule their rides a day in advance by calling (308) 872-6609. Although the Handi-bus will try to accommodate unscheduled requests for service, we can not guarantee that we will have room or time for unscheduled pickups. We also would appreciate it if cancellations were made as far in advance as possible so that time slot is available for another rider. Riders using wheelchairs should notify the service at the same time they schedule the pickup. Those riders who need assistance after exiting the Handi-Bus are required to have someone accompany them to provide such assistance. Our drivers are not allowed to enter residences or other buildings to assist riders.
