Broken Bow Ambulance Service

Broken Bow Ambulance Service is proud to serve our community with around-the-clock emergency medical care. What began as a small volunteer unit has grown into a modern, advanced life support (ALS) service with three ambulances, more than 30 trained members, and a commitment to excellence in patient care.

Our providers respond to 911 emergencies, handle interfacility transfers from local hospitals to higher levels of care, and bring advanced equipment, providers, and training to calls. We continually invest in the tools and knowledge needed to provide the best possible care for our community.

While we’ve grown in size and capability, we remain a largely volunteer-based service built on dedication and teamwork. Every member of our service contributes time and skill to ensure Broken Bow and the surrounding area have dependable, high-quality emergency medical services when they’re needed most.

If you are interested in learning more, supporting our mission, or joining our team, we invite you to contact us. Together, we are building a stronger, healthier community.

“One team, one mission: exceptional care, every time.”

Fire

The Fire Department fills a vital role in our community. Preventing fires and protecting our homes and property are some of the services our volunteers are called on to provide.

The department coordinates the provision of our fire and tornado warning sirens. The department works closely with the Custer County Emergency Response Committee to ensure that we will be ready for the emergencies which may threaten our area. The department regularly tests the warning sirens, assists with the addition of new sirens and replaces their batteries when necessary. The tornado sirens are tested the first Tuesday at 4:00 p.m. March thru September.

The City of Broken Bow’s ISO or Fire Insurance Rating is a 4.
